A poem about being deceived by someone you love
Senseless thoughts and breathless words;
what have you done to me?
I trusted you with open arms;
my soul, you held the key.

Tears are streaming down my face,
for what I thought was true,
now just another lesson learned
on what I should not do.

Deception is a lonely place,
where nothing seems to fit.
The lies begin to multiply;
agony will not quit.

My heart is torn, my mind a mess,
for that you are in debt.
Forgiving I have always been,
but I will not forget.
