Not all decisions can be made instantly; in those cases we end up in a painful limbo.
Fences

A place between, a hovering happenstance
limbo doesn't describe the wavering dance.

Are we here or there, the dread or the dream?
Afraid to form the thought, lest I scream.

One place joy, safety and warmth;
the other darkness, dread - alone.

A hand to hold, a breath to share,
or out in the cold, no one here.

Caught in the middle of two sides of life-
either way I jump could be peace or strife.

How can I sit here, in this undecided stance
forever balanced on this cold distant fence?
