I wrote this about six months ago, one of the first poems I wrote.
The dark people dance
On the back wall.
Mimicking our movements
Free of cruel emotion,
No sound escapes
Their non-existent lips
No sadness is seen
In their missing eyes.
They are us but
Only the outline.
No beauty in them
caused by faith or hope.
Never have they remembered
Their lives equal to ours.
Never will they forget
What they never knew
