My Oldest child
My sweet little marshmallow baby, tis a baby no more.
With sticky pudgy marshmallow cheeks, giving kisses galore
I remember her tiny cold feet in the small of my back, mouth agape
eyes wide open and sound asleep. Oh how quietly I would creep,
as to never wake her slumber. Oh how quietly  I would sneak,
out of our bed with out creak to steel a moment, for another.
As sweet little marshmallow baby's often can encumber,
all of your life, your entire life, outside of their slumber.

I count the candles on the cake, so many year since you did take, my life
with all its troubles.  They may say that I raise you, but in truth you raise me.  Lifting me higher and further than I ever thought I'd be.

Now we stand near eye to eye, on unfamiliar ground, wondering how we'll get around, the fact your no marshmallow baby. Now you stand so tall and lean, your hair is combed and your cheeks are clean.  No, she's no marshmallow baby.
