For those who have fallen and need to rise again.
*The Phoenix*

I feel upset, weak and sad
I can hear my heart crying
With woe and agony
That no one will ever hear.

Harsh words greet my ears,
A stab once again
Into this already bleeding heart.
Am I to show this pain outside?
No. My worst fate,
To hold it all in!

I wander and talk
With a smile on my face.
A closer look and you can see
The deathly grey pallor of my eyes.

My spirit lurks in the shadows
Only a wisp of its once glorious self.
Every step I make
My legs crumble under me.
But I struggle on,
Though I feel weaker and weaker
As my heart gets stabbed again and again.

No cure is present
For this wicked wound
Except my own strength of mind.
I hear mocking words
Yet I forget them
And I trudge on.

For every stab at my heart,
My spirit grows stronger and stronger.
Soon I will fight back,
Soon I will avenge,
Soon I will burst forth
From the flames
Alive and furious
My eyes will speak a different tale then
And my spirit once again will arise
Just as The Phoenix Bird
