A familiar place that doesn't just doesn't feel the same anymore
I’m spinning in this familiar place,
Falling faster than I dare,
I’m looking all around,
I’ve seen this place countless times,
But somehow now,
It just doesn’t feel real.
And I can’t touch these walls for fear that they will crumble,
I thought I grew out of this place,
Like I grew out of childhood,
But I’ve found myself here again,
Hanging onto falling pictures,
For I’m in a dream state,
Oh, am I even here at all?
I just can’t find myself
In this familiar place,
I belonged here once I’m sure.
