In a world ruled by elements 3 slayers start there quest...
Prologue
Out of nowhere odd holes ripped open, holes in the ground, oceans, sky, everywhere. The holes were black and empty inside. When something was dropped in it never hit the bottom. No amount of light could illuminate them, and nothing could close them. Humans thought nothing of them and went on with there lives. As time passed the holes seemed to nothing but nuances. Nothing affected them and it seemed like they did nothing, until the first one was seen.
MONSTERS! The animals that had gotten close to the holes had mutated. They became blood thirsty creatures. They over ran the cities, killing anything in their way. It seemed like this was the end of the human race, but just as they thought it was the end something happened to us.
Just as the monsters had mutated we gained new powers. These powers seemed to have been sleeping within us, waiting to awaken and save us all. These powers were the powers to control nature. The power to light fires just by touching something, the power to call upon huge waves by just specking, the power use anything in nature to stop the monsters. Every one gained the power to control one element. No one knows how the element is chosen. It could be by their parents, the land around them, or maybe what they eat, but there has been no way of telling. Regardless of what selects the power, everyone has one, and only one. With these new powers humanity regained there spot at the top of the food chain. They had the means to rebuild there race. Now nothing could stop them, nothing but the holes.
We franticly searched for a way to close the holes, but nothing worked. It was then that they found the power gems. These stones held the powers of nature. With one you could control any element that is held in the gem, or make yours even stronger. If used right they could make even the weakest of warriors stronger than a giant. With these new possibilities were opened, but the holes remained untouched, and inactive, until something came out…
Out of one of the holes came another being. This being controlled the monsters with a dark power. He was soon called the Dark Demon, and with his power he made the monsters even stronger, meaner, and with them raged war against the humans. This war was called the portal war, and the holes were called portals, portals to what was unknown. The war lasted for years. The humans had the upper hand in combat, but no matter how many monsters they killed there were always more waiting in the holes. As long as the holes remained open there was no way the humans could win. It was a pointless war for the humans, and it seemed they had no chance of winning, until the holes produced one more miracle for them, this time for the last time.
Out of the holes came more demons, each of them with a different element. With them came other races of creatures, all to help in the war. These creatures used there powers to seal the holes, stopping the monsters from coming out. When they closed the holes they helped the humans fight the first demon that had come out. How the war ended has become a lost page in history. It seems that the humans won because they were able to rebuild, but what happened to the Dark Demon is unknown.
With the portals closed the demons and there helpers had no way of returning to where they had come so they slowly became part of the world, and produce offspring, making there races just as prosperous as humans. The monsters still overrun the land, but without their master they are nothing more than stupid animals; mean, stupid animals.
Though the war was over the roads were still unsafe for most to travel. The monsters attacked anyone and every one. Some people saw this as a way to make money. They would have the wealthy pay them to for there services. The jobs ranged from gathering food from the wild, being body guards, and slaying monsters. These mercenary’s became know as slayers. When the weaker needed help they could hire a slayer. The first of the slayers devolved a code, but that was all but forgotten as time went on. With the promise of great wealth, glory, and adventure people, both good and evil, became slayers, and used the title to gain there power.
Now, thousands of years later, three young slayers are about to unwillingly begin a quest, one that will once again change the fate of the world, and solve mysteries not even know to the world. With the powers of nature to guide them they well face death, and maybe even worse…
