Another one I wrote while listening to a song, written so it could be sung.
You need to have your fun,
You say it's because your life has just begun...
What can't you see?
Why can't you stay with me?

You say to wait until we grow old,
All the while you grow cold.
While I wait and grey,
I'll dream of what I could have done, yesterday.

Yesterday you stayed and played,
Yesterday we had great fun.
But today you'll go away,
And pretend this weekend was undone.

You say to wait until we grow old,
All the while you grow cold.
While I wait and grey,
I'll dream of what I could have done, yesterday.

Now today your not here,
Will tomarrow bring you near?
Maybe I'll just sit and stay,
And try to ignore the hurt from yesterday.

You say to wait until we grow old,
All the while you grow cold.
While I wait and grey,
I'll dream of what I could have done, yesterday,
yesterday, yesterday.

You say to wait until we grow old,
All the while you grow cold.
While I wait and grey,
I'll dream of what I could have done, yesterday.

It's all past, and now I'll fade away.
I should have acted, instead of waited.
You never cared it was all a game,
You must love to see me in pain.
Now I have faded all away,
Dead from dreams of a yesterday.
