This is an older poem of mine. It may not make much sense...
Shallow lungs, I need to breathe
I've ceased for far too long
Darkness inks my spotted vision
Was the doctor wrong..?

I hear the nurse ask my blood type
Should I give it or give in?
Strength against the pressure building
Sinking deeper in my skin

Watch my cooling body
Fall through solid space
Dearest lover close beside
To touch my paling face

Growing still, I watch his gaze
Shift from love to dread
If eyes are windows to the soul
His told me I was dead.
