is this the day I've been waiting for?
Graceful dance of sunlight
Awareness flowing down my body
Fingers flex, legs meander under the covers
Eyes awaken to the same thought every morning
Is this the day?

Going through the day greedily hoarding every reasonating note in your voice...
Every stroke of your keyboard...
Every breath I hear you take...
Every shiver down my spine when I knew we're in sync with our thoughts.
Knowing every minute
This could be the day.

Secrets, whispers, all conspired to hold on to what we can't live without.
I want to scream, cry, beg, crawl, rage, cower, run.
Let me experience you just once.
Let me know the feel of you, let me have a day, an hour of you.
I have to feel you hold me, I have to lock with your gaze.
I have to let you see yourself in me.
I have to know what it feels to hold your hand in mine as we join bodies and souls.

Could this be the day.....the day when it's all over and the chance is shattered..as is the dream..the love of you?

I move out of bed, go about my morning, my thoughts entwined with you
Somehow knowing..more like hoping ....desperately praying..
That today is not the day.
