Describing the yearning to escape from sheltered lifestyles via artistic expression

Whisper your words and I shall write
Your voice ringing sweetly in the night
It covers my home above the blight
Weapon in hand, starting the fight

And now trapped inside my Ivory Tower
My Body and Mind have lost power
All senses slowly turn sour
Conscious reaching its darkest hour

As the abandoned babe looks towards the eve
The winds turn the dying leaves
Yet, never is there a moment to grieve
Never a moment to grieve

I have waited long enough
Shoved away upon this shelf
Never remembered by anyone
A quiet necropolis within myself

And so…

And so now in my falling Tower
Body and Mind lost all power
To the greedy maws that wish to devour
Atmosphere growing strongly dour

The young are to forever stay
And so their love is blown away
And slowly, sweetly, the words to play
The only way your voice may

Your whispers fill my realm with delight
As my Ivory Tower falls onto the blight
Body and Mind suddenly filled with sight
And I can finally surrender the fight
As my own voice cries through the dark night
