My journey thru a nightmare to a wonderful dream
To whom it may concern:

I aquired a taste for you I thought I have found the key to life
You held my hand thru trials and tribulations
The malted coloured liquid awakend my soul
I could handle everything without it taking a toll on me
Little did I know, one was too many, and a thousand not enough
The quantity increased, to get to that place, it started to get rough
I began to compromise my dignity to get what I needed
But could not see that Malted colored liquid was steeling my life away
I graduated in the school of addiction
And moved up the ladder to little white jewels
The combination made it easier and easier but I didn't know it
At the time it would eventually turn on me
I was in deep, I had it bad, I begged for freedom from all
But I could not see the light and I started to fall
I wanted out, God heard my cries
He gave me a  place to go and try
I've found in God what no bottle or pill could do for me
I have lost alot thru the years
I have shed alot of tears
But what I went through has made me the person I was meant to be
My Higher Power saw fit to SET ME FREE
