This is a bittersweet poem on a very serious subject.
The Gift

A kiss is all I have left to give,
the dearest gift I can share.
My innocence was lost long ago
to one so vicious he didn't care.
He used my body and abused my soul
but my lips he did not touch.
A kiss was all I could save for you,
the one I love so much.
To lay with you would be routine
and I've so much more to give.
A tender kiss would heal my soul
and show me what it means to live.
Slow sweet and gentle, I've never felt
but dearest love don't fret or cry
virginity is claimed but once in life
as for kisses, I've an unlimited supply.
