non-rhyming poem
Faces to the Moon

Flowers craning their necks as if to turn faces to the moon,
a soft breeze playing the leaves of a nearby tree.
I sit hot tea cupped firmly in hands
wanting you to appear.
To sit silently side by side
speaking nothing yet knowing all.
Treasuring each romantic second as it drips
sweetly from the hand of my watch.
