people being blind to the world
What’s going on that we can’t see?
Hurt, pain, and anger, no one to believe?

Thriving for attention from those who don’t see
big brown eyes that don’t seem free.

Why is it that people can’t see-
all the hurt and insecurity?

Although the world is blind and they can’t see
It’s up to you and me, Dear Friend, to help them believe.

How the world is not a waste of time
A new generation being born with every little chime.

To open up their forgetful eyes
And show them some kind of new surprise.

The wind swiftly blows the branches on the tree
as I sit and wonder why can’t the world see?

The swooshing of the water deep within the sea
Are wonderers like you and me.

People of all people like you and me
Shouldn’t be the only one’s that can see.

Picking the cherries from the sour cherry tree
We sit and wonder how the world can be so blind not to see.
