God is Truth Vs. Truth is God

My Opinion:

Religion is not truth. Religion is faith. Anyone who calls religion truth is arrogant and dogmatic. We all want to be elite. We are all hoping that our god is the best and everyone else will be sent to hell for not conforming to our personal beliefs. So we take our faith and call it truth so we can justify our way of life. I mean...saying God is truth just makes it sound so much more legit...right?

However, the truth is...the bible is a selection of books chosen by priests hundreds of years after Christ's death. There were many other books that were written by men who claimed to be inspired by god that did not make it into the bible. There were accounts of Jesus' life that are completely different than the four gospels that we are all familiar with. All of these ancient manuscripts provide you with infite rules for Christianity but when you put them all together they contradict each other.

So the pressing question is..."which books are truth?" "How did the priests know which books to put in the bible?" Well, they gathered around, said a prayer for guidance and then just did their best.

Reliable...?
Reliable enough for 33% of the world apparently.

So what is truth? I happen to agree with Gandhi. "Truth is what the voice within tells you". People are always searching for what religion is real, what religion is truth. Religion is faith. Stop searching for religion and search for truth; the truth about life and death and everything in between. If your religion teaches something that your heart tells you is wrong...go with your heart.
