The days grow shorter
The days grow shorter
The days shadows grow longer
The sun sets deeper
And the moon drifts higher
The trucks get faster
And the smog gets thicker
Our buildings soar toward God,
But not to touch Him.
Only to create more shadows, hiding places.
In a city of so many
They each have a foot of shadow,
A foot of hiding space.
Our tempers drip from our brains to the tongue,
We've lost all control.
Society rules everything with it's whims and wishes.
Life will be stamped away,
Slowly for us,
But only a flash in times stance.
As our days grow shorter
Our hiding places grow longer.
We have so many places to hide.
