A short poem about fear
What do you do when you’re scared
When the ice all around you cracks leaving you on you own and with no where to hide?
In a way it does blind you, make you feel as though your senses can not be trusted. As though they are not what they were a mere 5 minutes ago.
Do you do as they say, as is expected of you?
Or should you learn to swim the dark depths? And hold to the hope that you don’t sink first.

Then there is the fear that you see in a far off way, like it wasn’t your own. The kind that you see coming, where you see your self die before the fall, the hyper real red of invisible blood and pain that brushes the soul never to be felt just known
It’s there hiding just skin deep, your world, and so easily it can be touched, hurt, killed.
And you know it
Do you wait or run?
