My vision of a revolution
From its precarious place on the hill,

The world slides down the slope.

I’m caught up in a colorful whirlwind

Of dreams and anger and hope.

I hold on tight with my all my life

As the world rolls out of control.

Social systems have been crushed,

I’m unsure now of my role.

Gone is the rigidness of yesterday;

Individuality is the new style.

We’re eager to see what the new world will be like,

But the jury is still on trial.

As expectations for the future rise

So do a lightness and spark in our hearts.

With oppression gone and former systems adjourned,

Perhaps we can all make new starts.

Change and newness have never been things

With which it’s difficult for me to cope.

I’m caught up in a colorful whirlwind

Of dreams and anger and hope.
