A poem about dicontentment living in a small town.
I watch the light fade behind me,
There's nothing left here without me,
Running fast from fears unspoken,
Closed the door on praying, hoping,
Maybe mistakes are ment full force,
Maybe dreams are best kept close,
Chains attached for way to long,
Everything I've held here is already gone,
Nothing left but the heavens to see,
Everything seems to change without me,
Looking back on all I've lost here,
Losing sight of every pain I fear,
The past is way to upsetting,
These memories are worth forgetting,
Your cold effects the way I move,
Nowhere to hide and everything to lose,
Security blankets are stripped away,
Perhaps this is the only logical way,
Nothing left but the future to see,
Everything is changing within me,
These walls are closing in to fast,
All the future offers is the past,
Nothing pure to breathe,
Every reason left to leave,
Maybe nothing stays the same,
Every opportunity already came,
So much weight dragging me down,
Nowhere left in this nowhere town,
Nothing left but the truth to see,
Everything is changing in spite of me,
One to many picks to bleed,
One to many regrets to feed,
Closing in and burning down,
So little happiness found,
The vampires here suck you dead,
The truth to often goes unsaid,
Pieces broken and left for me,
The absolute nothing I'm destined to be.
