For NEWS DESK:Contest Recycling cooking oil.
Utility truck (ute)

OILS AIN'T OILS.

We are conscious of waste products polluting the air,
And for the most part, people really do care.
Young adventurers in our town, Emily and Steve,
Have put into practice, a theory they believe.

Touring 'round Australia in an old Nissan ute,
They fuel it with cooking oil, and it runs really beaut.
They stop at each town when their driving day's spent,
To cadge old used fish shop oil. Doesn't cost them a cent!

Steve's adapted his motor to run on the oil,
And he said after many miles the motor didn't spoil.
He primes it with diesel to get the revs going,
Then in goes the oil and it shows no sign of slowing.

Twenty five thousand K's they've covered to prove it.
The ute's up for sale. They really must move it.
For they've bought a nice yacht and want to convert that
To run on old oil from a fish and chip vat.

When the boat's fit for sailing and they've decked it all out,
They're off to Japan to show what it's about.
To the world's leading car market, they're tending a deal,
To prove fish and chip shops offer more than a meal.

This converted old ute, they've named "Fossil Fuels".
The oil's clean and it's cheap and it meets all the rules
Do yourself and the world a favour, and buy,
This environmentally sound truck from one clever guy!
