A story about shutting yourself away from the world, depression, and death.
The Dark Muse presents to the world this tragedy that is life. A man, possibly the one next door, shuts himself away from the world, taking on a more and more cynnical view of it. He does not want to be a part of the pain and chaos of the world around him. However, this isolation from human contact drives him crazy, ultimately leading to his death.

The Name of the Tower

In a land called firë
Between two rivers
One Life the other
Death!
It comes for you now
You’ll save yourself how?

Sixteen years in the making
Though it feels much shorter taking
A tower, a fortress
That keeps you under duress
Condemns your soul
To life without parole
You get a life of death
And a death of life
Living in a Tower of Isolation

You build it up, build it up
Your Tower of Isolation
A Throne to your Damnation
Yet you shout with jubilation
You are now invincible
A sea now invisible
To the world surrounds you

Sixteen years in the making
Yet a lifetime down taking
A Tower, a fortress
That saves you through duress
Condemning you soul
To death, a deep black hole
That is the Tower of Isolation
The life led in damnation

You must get out!

The First Siege

Unknown building of
a preference for solitude
I show no attitude
though I damn
my soul and
destroy my life
Yet there is no strife

I see Him marshall
His army
I know He leads it against me
He wants to destroy me
Why am I so attracted?
Why do I feel so attatched?

My Tower can wait
