It's mostly a test title, but it works.
Dark and obscure
Like black velvet
Coated, in wisps of light.

Delicate and wonderful
Like a butterflies wings
As it slowly flutters by.

Silent and forlorn
Like crystal-clear ice
As it slowly covers the world.

Misty and blurred
Like the riverside at morning
Is the forest.

Vivid and bright
Like emeralds
Are the leaves which fall in the midnight sun.

Soft and gentle
Like dyed cotton
Are the flowers which bloom in lonely beauty.

Timid and curious
Like a small rabbit
Is a creature that watches every move.

Golden and attentive
Like large ambers
Are it's eyes, glowing from high places.

Quick and sudden
Like lightining
Are it's movements, as it follows you.

Low and shrill
Is its cry
As it slowly approaches you.

Sleek and dark
Is its apearence
As nuzzles your hand, pleased.

Long and dark jade
Are its feathers
As it flies off again.

Confused, but pleased
Is your expression
As you watch the graceful creature leave, just as quickly as it came.

Coffee stained and torn
Like a photo left on the table for too long
Is your memory of it now.

But unbroken is your promise still
You won't forget the brief window in which you sat
When your world and its met.
