My metaphorical side at its peak...
This game of cat and mouse I play
Exposing truth that's tucked away
The whiskers brush my face, so light
The claws are sheathed, but poised to fight
With feline grace I stalk my prey
With rodent speed, I duck away
This ritual, this natures dance
Is sensitive to circumstance
The mouse trap, triggered
Snaps down tight
Big dog and cat, distracted, fight
Thus extending one more day
This game of cat and mouse I play
