This poem is about falling in love with the wrong person then realizing it isn't worth it.
Stop breaking me with your words
For I know not what to do
You call me such terrible things
When my heart only longs to love you

When did this thing occur
That set you in rage against me
My protector, my lover, my friend
When did your pain from me begin

The face that once scorned you
You love with sweet passions
The one that has adored you always
You beat down with bitterness and rejection

But still I am here
Crying for you
Dying to love you again
I am in hopeless anguish
Used and broken by the hand that was to love me always
Confusion reigns

Alas, my heart must go
For the weight of loving you has taken its toll
Awakening is my mind
Healing is my heart
Your cast down eyes
As they descend to condemn
The woman I call me
Are no longer an oppression
For I am set free
