A poem about water.
Water Sprite

Spinning above the vibrant ripples,
Singing, dancing, a constant melody
Cascades of colours, pure enjoyment,
The water sprite soars.

Twisting, turning, dancing, dancing,
over soft mists and under foam.
Her song resonating through mind and soul,
A joyous jig where she might roam
The water sprite soars.

No splash of water can overwhelm
Nor salty sea breeze sway,
Her twisting, turning, swaying dance,
For she can soar all day.

Forever, forever, the water sprite glides,
Weaving through seas and under shores,
Under bridges, in dense marshes,
Soaring swiftly through the spray.

Slowly, slowly, the water sprite slows,
Calm spreads through lake and sea.
But her song sings on now, alone,
A gentle harmony built into the bone.

Softly, softly, the water dancing on,
Twisting, turning, swaying: dancing,
To the melody that rings through the air.
