For me to be happy is to see him happy.
Unrequited

I see you walking past,
Ignoring me.
As always.
But I am not going
To whine
To scream
To shout
Because I do not
Own you.

Your eyes are
Filled with happiness
Content, Love
Whenever you
Are with her.

I could not compare
To her looks
To her knowledge
To everything about her.

It pains to see
That I could not
Do anything for you,
When you cry
When you're down
Because it's not me
You needed.

I would flounce
I would sing
I would stand
In the rain
But you won't notice
But you won't care
But I do not blame you
Your eyes are not mine.

I could dream
Hallucinate
Fantasize
About you noticing me.

I won't cry
I won't change myself
Into something I'm not
For you to like.

You are happy
With someone not me
I am sad because
Of that
But what can I do?
Your heart does not
Belong to me.

I could only see
You from afar
Smiling to myself
Tricking myself
That maybe someday
You would like me
For who I am.

But I won't pine.
I won't I won't I won't.
I am a person of
My own.

This may be
Unrequited
But for me
I am already happy
When I see you happy.

When you are happy
I will be happy.
When a smile
Is on your face
I would smile too.

I am happy when
you are happy
And that's all
That matters.
