A fun and different twist to the approching night time hour.
Night time bird

When the sun puts in a long days hard work than slips off the bed
behind the horizon,
when the moon has risen to keep watch over all that lye slumbering,
'tis a time for the night time bird to appear.
The owl takes flight deep into the night.

Night time bird's voice is heard by all,
by large, by small, by all.
night time bird calling the moon to stay for the night,
call to all to go inside till new days light.
The owl speaks and all obey
if one knows best that the night is time for rest.
"To sleep with you now for the moon has risen." said the owl,
"It is nine o'clock, the morning comes to soon,
the face of the sun you shall see
but for now the moon has risen,
it's time to sleep, to sleep, to sleep with you now
for the moon has risen."

Night time bird watches over all that lye slumbering,
"Good-night." said the owl.
Than one by one all lanterns go out.
