Its metaphorical.
My mind is like the spin cycle of a washing machine.
Thoughts jarred between memories.

The overpowering detergent clouds my mind,
Deluding it to a soggy mush.

Spun out on a full load,
my conscience is numb.

The only way to find sanity
is for the buzzer to sound
and the machine to shut off.
