A poem about a friendship that turned into love.
I went to the mall and did what any woman would--

Headed straight for the racks to look for that

Perfect something.

My arms were growing tired from each

Squeak of metal on metal.

And then, without warning,

I found the perfect dress.

The sales girl smiled

As she directed me to the dressing room.

She knew what it was like to find that

Perfect something.

I quickly ran into that tiny cubical,

Unzipped the dress,

And slid it on.

It clung to my body caressing each curve.

What I had hoped to be true was...

A perfect fit.

In a parking lot at an all night diner

You caressed my face.

Your cubical truck had plenty of room

To try on some passion

While we unzipped friendship to

See if it would enhance every curve we had.

Then, without warning...

I came to a conclusion.

You fit better than that dress ever could.
