Written many years ago.
Utterly alone
No one here but
The voices inside
Through thick and thin
I stand by my side
Deep within myself
There’s a struggle
With the darkness
In my heart
I watch as people
Turn their backs to me
As if I’m made
Of cellophane
Practically invisible
I slowly walk
Away from those
Who would ignore
Just to be alone
Alone forever
Would be better
Than to face
What society
Calls humanity
Would it be easier
To just end it all
Than to face
The pain and fear
That comes with relations
I see the
Dark abyss ahead
I fight the will
To jump
To its depths
If I fell
Would I make a sound
With no one else around?
