Just a dream I once had put into words.
There comes a time of quiet darkness -

The eve of a kingdom’s wane,
The gentle whisper of a slumbering babe
A lazy breeze that shifts the bay.

As the hushed snow blankets,
The trembling grass,
And the bay of white wolves echoes
Across the sky,
Into the dark of the blood red moon,
The entire earth holds its breath,
Allowing the moments that separate
Day from day
Leisurely come to pass.

A pause in time few have seen.

When fairy tales drift alive,
And our very dreams take their first breath,
When magical beings roam the star dusted land
Finally proclaiming their freedom,
Bursting forth into the night
Revealed in the silent black,

They have come.
