I'm not sure if we still see eye to eye
For all this time,
This tiresome journey
You’ve been on,
You may not realise
That I tried to be there with you,
Every step of the way.
I tried to be there with you.
You may not be aware,
You’re not the only one.

Sometimes it’s forgotten,
It feels almost lost in the sand
Of everything that should matter more
And I smile and you smile back,
It’s like old times in a way but
I’m not sure if we still see eye to eye.

It feels like a part of the past
That keeps kicking around.
You’re bringing it up
In the things you say,
And the actions you take.
I tried to understand
What you were going through.
I tried to understand
But I remain in the dark;
I feel burdened by the dark

Sometimes it’s forgotten,
It feels almost lost in the sand
Of everything that should matter more
And I smile and you smile back,
It’s like old times in a way but
I’m not sure if we still see eye to eye.
