The evils which plague and haunt man take form.
Ocean Liner Incident

Star sights and Northern lights
Stormy seas and cloudy nights
The ocean liner incident
Heart-broken halibut and tear-bearing trout
Wash up belly up onto beaches of doubt
Are they dead or just lost all hope?
Because oil spills over all our dreams
Black and sticky, river current streams
Flowing over fields of Jersey
Filling every crack, crevice, and chamber
I breathe the slick surface glistening off silver tongues
Evil thickness secreting from my stomach and lungs
Plastic and chemicals to uplift your face
Liquor to remove the words that you taste
Smoky skies slide over the sunny sights
And darkness decomposes everything bearing light
Breaks down happy people, builds up those who feast on pain
Break down happy people, builds up those who feast on pain
Grass is no longer green and air no longer clean
Everything we see and breathe is poisoned by we
With every lie we tell, and every empty tear shell
Where our words taste the way they sound
As they drip from moist lips, they make you gag
Where we compete to see who's life is harder
And go looking for trouble just so we feel stronger
Where heart-break and love-affairs
Where you say it but we know you don't care
Where oil spills and midnight chills
Where there is nothing left to lose because we all lost it anyway
Where there is nothing left to lose because you threw it all away
