A poem about moments that you've spent
A feeling so sad
of being used.
of being ignored
like I was a stranger to you.
There're days, I wonder;
if I hear the truth ?
You say things beautiful
yet, unreal.
Moments;
I feel blessed
to have you,
surely, somedays
you must think so too.
But then;
taking what exists for granted
is not a nice thing you do.
The feeling;
of not being wanted.
The feeling;
of not being special,
unlike what you say
every now and then.
When I'm not there,
it'll be hard to find
someone with the patience;
you so desperately seek,
to listen
to your complains and needs.
Listening to everything you say.
Giving you the shoulder to cry.
Yes; not so perfect
but that was I.
I'm sorry;
if it couldn't be more.
Guarding; all the secrets,
you were too scared
to share with anyone else.
Forgiving; when you said things
that you never realized hurt.
Sadly; when time comes to
receive a portion of what I gave,
you just don't seem to be there.
Moments;
when I wish to cry
you question; "why?"
saying it's silly and not
how I'm suppose to feel.
Moments;
when I wish to share a secret.
I hesitate thinking what
you'd have to say.
Because you simply won't listen.
You wouldn't say you understand.
You'd just walk away.
Shrugging like it doesn't matter;
like I don't matter....
You've been a great friend
and you'd always be;
that I believe
but were you the best one?
I just can't seem to agree.
