One of the few poems I've written that actually has some rhyming in it.
Inside this room I'm not alone
The people fill the space
Within these walls I'm told I'm me
And yet I hide my face.

Identity is now long gone
A pseudo life remains
A dying spark of long ago
Illuminates the pain.

So many crowd around to watch
A masquerade of care
With tight closed arms they offer help
When none is left to spare.

Deep down in me the answer lies
Too clouded now to see
But time will push away the fog
Once more I will be free.
