Family is important to me. Reunions are tradition.
Step out of my car
My little girl grabs my hand
Safe from the boogie men
Placed on strong shoulders
A family of four visible
Approaching the destination

Smoke fills the air
Aroma filled with
Chicken, ribs, cobs of corn
Tempting my senses
Tantalizing my taste buds

Approaching as King
Responsible for Queen
Two princesses of youthful happiness
Greeted with bouquets of brisket
Sit here…lets remember.

Embraced by honored before
The eldest members smile
Reached out arms
Filled with hopeful dreams
Touched by omnipotent focus

Let us pray
Thanks for this food provided
The company non-divided
Destiny collided
Forever future well-tim ed

Feeling of unity
Freedom to dance unbound
The song plays:
FAMILY REUUUNION…A FAMILY REUUUNION
We all become electric – and ssssliiide

When it’s all said
Done from exhaustion
Stressful interaction is required
A prerequisite for satisfaction
Family is forever

I look forward to this chaos
A spread of entropy.
I am hungry already.
