Disloyal-one girls abuse
Thousands of rain drops in a rhythmic
melody on the shingles
As relatives strike hitting the eaves
with a pinging beat
And thunder rolls in loud
vibrating percussions
With lightning adding a display
of sporadic effects
She cowers in a corner of the
room afraid to move
Fearful of the shadow that emerges
between fleeting glimpses
The figure that brings a
piercing pain and tears
Her screams drowned by the
symphonies crescendo
And it feels to her as long
as the storm
Before it stops leaving numbness
as dark as the night
And she does not
understand why!
