A brief piece. Not an entire story, just what came to mind.
He thought about the issue. The ups and downs of the situation were thrown into his mind at 95 miles per hour. It was impossible for him to grasp the concept of his first step to overcoming his obstacles. Without any sort of guidelines, experience, or applicable advice he was stuck in a hopeless limbo of the mind.

When does indecisiveness move in and take over the position of the problem? The question lingered. How long could he afford to sit and sulk before finally the original bombshell was forgotten and instead, the crater it left behind was the issue at hand. No one would give him the answer, regardless of whether or not it was known to them. But, the people weren't at fault, he was creating his own hell and shackled himself in place. He held the key tightly and looked forward to using it, but the inability to do so was overpowering.

The future looks bright, and as the parabola of life progresses, the troughs become peaks just before the inertia is lost and all hope along with it. As soon as he can realize that looking forward to new things is the end of the storm, he won't even need to have anything to look forward to. Catch 22. The preparations have been completed and the first steps have been made. All that is left is to ascend the hill and travel towards the peak disregarding the inevitability of the other side of the mound.
