Everything contradicts itself, doesn't it?
Here I stand
On an earth so vast
So small
An earth with more wonders than I can ever see
An earth so insignificant among the countless stars
Here I stand
On an earth so ancient
So new
An earth embedded with the skeletons of long-gone eras and soaked with the blood of those who died for us
An earth where mountains crumble in the blink of an eye and gleaming steel towers scrape the sky
Here I stand
On an earth so cruel
So kind
An earth where lives are lost for the sake of power
An earth where lives are touched for the sake of love
Here I stand
Hoping to stand firm
Wondering how long my footprints will last after I'm gone
