Lengthy poem of how true love conquers all.
The fresh sea air; a storm on the rise
I dry the stinging tears you cry
I can warm your heart while chilling your bones
I keep the secrets you chant to the unknown

The scent of his skin; it fills the room
The swirling sands dancing across the dune
I am the whisper you hear in the back of your mind
I carry your dreams to him; ties that bind

I can bring you back to where you long to be
I can move mountains; stir up the sea
Return a lost love in the blink of an eye
Bring back memories of how hearts cried

I share the kiss he receives from you blown from miles away
Before the love faded that terrible day
I can warm your soul with some help from the sun
Embrace those moments when your hearts became one

Follow the path of life through twists and turns
Listen to the call of two hearts that yearn
Love long ago lost; reunited on premise
Soul mates forever; a lifetime to cherish

Heed my call; hear your heart’s song
Dance to the music; right all the wrongs
I carry much weight and I have no doubt
That bringing love back to you is what this is all about

There is no reason to let your mind go astray
The love never died; it just faded away
Give me the message you want him to hear
I’ll deliver it directly into his ear

“Don’t be afraid it wasn’t a crime
Love heals all wounds over time
Forgive and forget the damage that was done
Your love is comparable to none

I want you always, Wind, help him see
There has never been another man for me
Deliver this message and please be swift
Deliver this kiss blown gently to his lips

Tell him I love him more than life
Tell him I want to be his wife
Don’t bring back an answer; do what you can
Bring love back to me; bring back the man

Send me a signal, show me a sign
That he still wants to be mine
Let love live again between us two
Know in your heart it has been only you

I've never loved another the way I love you
I've never wanted to, no other man would ever do
Please forgive all that you and I have done
Let our lives now become one.”

The wind moved swiftly tossing leaves along the way
And carried the message past the bay
Along the coast it would roll and blow
His exact location it did not know

Not far from the beaches of warm sand
Sitting by a lake, Wind noticed a lonesome man
As it blew up against the reeds near his feet
Wind knew this was the man it was destined to meet

The man looked broken; worn down over time
Living his life with no reason, no rhyme
Wind crept closer to listen with more intent
As the man cleared his head, his body spent

The images in his mind became so clear
Wind knew the time was near
It whispered the message it came to tell
And in the man’s eyes, tears began to swell

His heart began to pound, excitement in his eyes
Life’s meaning became renewed; time to say good byes
Fueled by his heart’s one true desire
He leapt to his feet leaving his loneliness on a pyre

Having heard the words he longed to hear
Finally having direction after all these years
His choice was made, no longer would there be strife
He was going back to make this woman his wife

Wind followed him far and near
All the while directing him here
Back to the woman he always knew
Was the one for him through and through

The woman who could calm and tease and care
Deal with his temper when it began to flare
Ease all his pains, touch his heart
No longer would they ever be apart

His heart in his throat he stopped where he stood
She sensed his presence as he knew that she would
She slowly turned to see the man who was her life
The man who would now take her as his wife

While they stood still for that moment or two
Wind began to see what they always knew
That love so pure so perfect so nice
Was worth everything, no matter the price

United in love once again, they joined hands
Strolled down the lane and began to make plans
For a future together bound by two bands
One for his woman and one for her man

The symbolism of these circular rings
Infinity, completion, love eternal, so many things
Pledging to honor, love and hold true
All of love’s magic into which they now grew

No longer apart and pasts set aside
The groom wedded his bride
Wind heard their hearts call…
True love can conquer all
