relationship with my father
Daddy dont you dare, but I wont tell you so.
you hid in bathrooms, women's beds,
in the bars and in the strip clubs
and I couldn't find you.

can hide and seek be over now?

daddy, do you wanna know where I hid?
in the liquor cabinet at ten, smoking pot in the garage, doing lines of coke on some drug dealer's bed.
or you could have followed the tracks of blood that led to my room,
to find me, sitting on the floor gazing thoughtfully at what I had just done.
but nobody was ever there to clean me up,
so I just got used to saving myself.

now we sit at the diner with nothing pure to say and it's all become a bad joke.
my waiting for you to say something right for the first time in your life, and all you have to say is
"I dont love you."
you ego-maniac!  look what you've done

I cant believe I havent killed myself yet with a father like you.
a girl really ought to.

choose not to love me, but understand why.
because you hide, crying in your bathroom.
and this time daddy,
you got caught.
