My favourite part of the day.
I slip between the freshly washed sheets,

in a way surreptitiously similar to a snake.

My Hamster would be proud,

he would struggle to snuggle this well.

The sheets gently press down on me,

air escaping with gravity's hug.

A halo surrounds my curtains,

even the divine cannot halt these heavy eyes.

The comfort I feel brings back a dreamy childhood,

a feint smell of lavender wrapping my senses.

My mind slowly shuts down,

the city hum ebbs away.

As I let myself go I feel it not so bad,

if it passes that I never awake.
