THIS POEM IS ABOUT THE CYCLE OF LIFE
KITCHEN OF HARD KNOCKS

I was only half a person
When only four and a bit
Half scared, half bold
Looking from my mother's apron strings.

At sixteen I swaggered arrogantly
The apron strings were cut
Only half an adult
My views half baked
Half emulating many mentors.

I'm now full grown
My views ae rounded, balanced, broad.
I'm well baked in the oven of experience
In the kitchen of hard knocks
