Shades of Love

Such soft, sweet skin
Fingertips trail softly
Lingering on your delicate throat
Dancing gracefully over tender flesh
Fingertips tightening, suddenly
Bruising frail skin
Sweet oxygen swiftly denied
The one you love, wild-eyed
Pure and untainted
The love shines through
In shades of black and blue.
