About love
- Stop with these foolish dreams. – he said in a harsh tone. His icy eyes piercing her skin.
That wasn’t their first fight. Nor the last. But so far, the worst. He was the only one to know about her ‘stupid-foolish-girly-dreams’. Dreams as finding the Only One. Maybe he was frustrated for not being her Only One. Or not. If she was complex, he certainly was as well.
- You think I did not see you dancing when you think no one’s watching? How you forget your problems instead of solving them? Bottling them up and keeping them as trophies inside your mind? – he took a pause, panting for talking so much and so fast.
Tears came out from her eyes. He was the only one who did that to her, who got that from her. He knew her so damn well. Of the same way she knew him, tough, at the same time they were very close, they were very distant. So alike but so different. She sat on the cold floor, hugging her legs, sobbing; he was the only one who could make her feel like that. Like glass. Transparent and fragile. Like glass about to break. She did not dare to look up at him.
He stood there for awhile, watching her. Sadness letting his icy eyes warmer and, well, sad. He eyed her, uncertain of what to do for a moment. There was so many of her that it was hard to handle them all. Then he reached for her, sitting beside her and embracing her sweetly. Her soft tears running down his bare chest and soaking wet her pajamas, while her face was buried on the crook of his neck. His hand running down and up her back slowly, his other hand caressing her hair.
She let him comfort her. That was him, she knew. He always hurted her to then cure her. It was just his way.
- I’m sorry, my little girl. – he said, she nodded.
Some part of his masculine ego needed that. To make her feel weak and fragile, so he could stood up, protect her, take care of her and carry her to their bed. His way. His way of love.
Tough he never knew that in her little own world without problems, with her Only One, she always imagined him as being it. As being the Knight In Shining Armor, saving and taking care of her. Her way. Her way of love.
Once he lied her down, he lied next to her, wrapping his arms around her as always, and having her little arms wrapped around him as always. That was their way. Their own little way of love. All they got.
