Jaimei is a fifteen year old girl with one big secret. She is a vampyre. This is her life
Life isn’t half as bad as it seems, that is as long as you follow the rules. Once you break the rules though, you're screwed-royally screwed.  But where’s the fun in life if you cant break at least a few rules. Just don’t break all of them or you'll end up like me.

I'm a fifteen-year-old vampyre named Jaimei. You probably just reread that last sentence didn’t you? You read it right the first time. that’s right I'm a vampyre.- well partially. My mom was a half-breed vampyre father, daemon mother. on the other hand my father came from a purely vampyre family-wealthy too. anyway that’s not the point. my parents have been dead for ten years.

and now I live in a foster home. Surprisingly I go to a Catholic private school. Yes that’s right, I’m a catholic vampyre. well anyway I have to get ready for school

I stared at myself in the mirror. man I hate that stupid uniform with its bright red pleated skirt and white shirt. the bright colors clashed with my pale grayish skin and midnight blue hair. there were dark bags under my black eyes, I hadn’t slept in weeks-not that I really need to that often. my alarm clock flashed the time in the mirror and I realized I was going to be late for school. I ran out of the door in a hurry without eating breakfast, that was a big mistake. I ran through the classroom door just as everyone finished saying prayers. oops that a really big problem

"Jaimei, you are late AGAIN what on earth are we going to do about this?"
I rolled my eyes."Don’t know just yell at me again come-on I didn’t eat breakfast cause I woke up late."

the teacher sighed and motioned for me to sit down. As I sat a strange feeling came over me like all of the blood in my body drained away. For a while I couldn’t figure out what the feeling meant until I chewed right through my pencil and bit my finger so hard it drew blood.

I felt a sudden urge to suck all the blood out of the cut, which were only a few drops. The world swam in front of my eyes. I figured it out. I needed to feed and there was no way I could until night. I felt myself falling off my chair and blacking out.

Next thing I knew I was in the hospital complete with all the beeping machines. A group of doctors stood over me with weird looks on their faces.

“Ah she’s awake now. It’s a miracle, being anemic like that could kill someone.”

I groaned, my head ached and I really needed blood and FAST!  A tall man heard my groan and ushered the rest out of the room. Coming back in he locked the door. I started to panic but he just smiled.

“Don’t worry I'm going to get you something to eat, I just need to know your name”

“Jaimei but I cant ea” I started to explain my problem but the man cut me off.

“I already know, my son’s one as well here he comes. Akira will keep you company while I get you food. Akira this is Jaimei- she’s just like you.”
Akira nodded to me and his dad left the room.

“So you forgot to feed didn’t you.” He smirked at me. “Lemme guess you’re new to this eh?”

I glared at him “ha very funny. I was born one unlike you. You just got bit. I can tell because you don’t have the right skin tone.”

His jaw dropped. “How did you know all that?”

“Simple” I explained. “Born vampires have grayish skin but if you get but you keep a very pale skin color and you hair goes dark. Born ones have bluish black hair. The purer the family line, the grayer the skin and bluer the hair.”

“Oh sorry I didn’t mean to insult you. It’s just been a long time since I was bit. Its hard to remember a time when I was human.”

I sighed. “When ere you bit. How old were you?”

“I was three when it happened. Thirteen years ago. So why didn’t you feed before now?”

I shrugged. “I guess because I don’t really like to go out and feed on some poor random person. My foster parents don’t know-they just think I’m anemic. Usually when I need to I’ll go find a stray animal no one wants. What about you?”

Akira grinned. “Well my dad is a doctor so usually he gets me some blood you know? So what school do you go to, I got to a catholic school”

“so do I what’s taking you dad so long?”

Suddenly we heard a knock on the door. Akira walked over and let his father in. H held a large cup full of a red liquid. Blood.

Instinctively my hands reached out and grabbed the cup out of his hands. Sloppily I guzzled the delicious red liquid, several streams dribbling down my face. In an instant it was gone, suddenly I felt much better, but I still needed more blood.

Akira and his dad started silently at me for a while.

“hey Jaimei how long has it been since you fed last?”

“uh like 3 or 4 weeks I think.”

Akira’s jaw dropped. You know I get the feeling I really surprised him. Oh well I needed to get home before my foster parents found out.
It took a lot of convincing but I finally got out of the hospital. Too bad it wasn’t before my foster father got home. Slowly I opened the front door, the hinges creaking loudly-oops. My foster father James was drunk on the couch.
