A poem about that someone that you once loved and now just can't get out of your head...
Haven’t you found,
That there’s always
Someone you just
Can’t resist.

And you find yourself
All alone –
Wishing you could
Pick up the phone –
Call him –
And say to him –
Are you lonely
Tonight?

Wishing for his
Arms around you
Wishing you could
Turn back time.

What once was
Between you,
Is no longer
A possibility,
But you allow
Yourself to dream
Of that love.

Then, one night,
You’re all alone
Out on the town
And you see his face…

Suddenly, you feel
As though you’re in love
All over again.
And you can’t help
But walking over
And talking to him,
Just casual conversation,
No harm done…

The night wears on,
And you’re still by
Each other’s sides –
Subtly inseparable.

Then comes the
Inevitable invitation
The want in his eyes
And you think,
I may hate myself
In the morning,
But I’m going
To love you tonight…
