a heart in halves debates
Indecision's jagged fence,
a heart in halves
rumbling out opinions to the dark.

Emotion's clouds blow winds,
pour out unjust tears.

While logic stands
stubborn as trees
stretching for clouds but grasping
mere air. Emotion's whim
too quick for logic's stifling hand.

Heated conflict takes the night.
Dark cloak of bias drives
understanding into shallow pools,
drowned consonance.
