My observations and thoughts from a day at the beach
The second I stepped into that ocean, everything washed away from me with the waves. The water was so cold my legs were going numb. The sand eroded underneath my feet as the waves crashed down and tried to softly knock me under. I stood strong though, I stared out into the ocean pretending it was infinite. Pretending I could fly out over all of it and never stop. I saw little kids playing and laughing. I wondered if they knew what was out there. I wondered if they made up stories. Like, fish and sharks dancing, or Marlon and Dory on another adventure to find Nemo. But I hope they make up stories. Because I think we dream the best when we dont really know what lies infront of us. When we're just too young to give a damn about the bad. I almost felt like I wanted to save them all from the future. I wanted to shield their eyes and only show them the beautiful things in life. The things worth living for. But I knew in that moment, when they were laughing and kicking at the waves tumbling in, that they were happy. In that exact moment, they were happy. And any amount of happyness, even if its for a couple minutes, is good enough for me.
